Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was established in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943. They started out as a small machine shop in the beginning employing 4 individuals. Sales for their initial year of operation amounted to about sixty thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and other components. Through five years of operation, the company had expanded to 40 staff and their yearly sales volume had increased to $330,000. Now, Cascade is amongst the leading international makers within the material handling trade.

Manufacture and design of the company's original hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive quest of new business opportunities. Over the last 60 years, the material handling business has grown into a very complex field and Cascade has proudly played a part in this improvement. Cascade presently continues to grow as the best supplier of forklift attachments and various associated products. The company feels assured in their potential to be able to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding buyer's requirements in the future and remaining competitive in the world market.

In the 1950's, Cascade started designing, fabricating and selling hydraulic accessories. Manufacturing was done in 1956 on a brand new facility to accommodate all of the office and plant operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's present center of operations. Subsequent to fifteen years of business, total staff reached 180 workers and sales had reached practically two million three hundred thousand dollars.

A second manufacturing plant was built in the year 1959 in Springfield, Daly City. nineteen sixty marked Cascade's initial transfer into the international world of the material handling industry as the company established interest in England, Australia, and the Netherlands.

In the year 1964, the business changed its name to the Cascade Corporation. Afterward in the year 1965, the company went public with a preliminary offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. Since then the business has expanded its manufacturing services throughout the continental USA to the locations Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already present plants in Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Daly City. Cascade merchandise are manufactured internationally due to a lot of subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a brand new plant was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European command center. This plant is built to be the ultimate customer support centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in the year 1996 and the year 1997 after buying five firms, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the worldwide leader in forks.
